Question #1:
Please Read............................?
am a 17 year old male I live in Los Angeles California (Near South La) Where i live it is a very poor area poverty is a big issue there are alot of homeless people living in the streets there is alot of gang members and criminals. The community is predominantly hispanic there are alot of shootings that occur. I myself witnessed 100's of scary incidents so much that i cant remember and had lost count. When it is late at night you cannot walk in the streets you always imagine something bad may happen and are traumatized by what you have seen before. I dropped out of high school with plans and goals to further my education. The reason why i dropped out of high school was because the school I had went to was bad there where stabbings and shootings that had happened there were students drinking beer in the classes students smoking marijuana and sniffing cocaine the school administration did not properly manage the school there was even teachers who would also drink alcohol in class. Most experienced teachers retired or had left to a better school they had given up with the school and students which presented an issue since all good teachers had been replaced with new teachers who had no experience and had not been around these kind of students. With all these issues i had given up with the school i could not handle being in that type of environment.I am different from these people who live near me. My father is a police officer and is also in the military my mother works for the state of california since i was a young kid i had done training in martial arts and self defense i use to train with the Gracie's brazilian jiu jitsu i trained with very educated people who where in the marines army rangers special forces secret service fbi dea police officers people who had went to university's and had their phds.I am an expert with computers and electronics i can build a computer easily i also know alot about cars health and politics.I enjoy going to the mountains going hiking also like to go running in the hills and riding mountain bikes going to the desert and drving atvs and dirt bikes or going to the lake and going inside a kayak i try to live life as best as i can and not think about where i live although there are some very nice neighborhoods in los angeles and orange county but the cost of living is very expensive the funny thing is from what ive heard where i live the taxes are the highest in the country so in some circumstancess the cost of living is almost the same as the better communitys.I had a few friends but most people i know had went to live in better cities and had went to universitys far from where i lives so i do not have any friends although i talk to people with a microphone through the internet i know alot of people from all around the world europe uk germany the netherlands united states but do not know any who lives close to me.I cant relate to most of the people who live in this community that i live in i do not do drugs i dont drink beer i am not in a gang and i am not involved in criminal activitys so that is why i dont have any friends who live around me.Most people with they meet me they think i am in my 20's since i do not look or act like i am 17 years old i am going to get my ged which by federal law is equivalent to a high school diploma although i cant get it yet because california state law require a person to be 18 years and older ounce i get my ged i am going to go to a 2 year college then go to universitySince you know about me now my question is about getting a girlfriend am i going to have a hard time getting a girlfriend and where should i go to meet girls and how should i get a girlfriend ?
where i live there are no stores malls or shopping centers since the community is poor they do not have any of that but about 10 minutes away there are a nicer citys that do have that.If i go to the mall how do i approach girls when they are walking or in the store or at the food court ?
Question #2:
in theory, would a fixed spool spinning reel fit on the reel seat of a one handed trigger kayak fishing rod?
I know that they are designed to be used eyes up, with a multiplier/baitcaster type reel, however I just prefer to use a fixed spool if it would fit onto the reel seat of a kayak rod.Question #3:
Guys: Is this the type of woman you want?
I'm very analytical, so after my analysis (as a woman) here is what I think the man wants in his ideal wife--a woman who:adores him and encourages all his stupid aspirations (lol)
looks good (even without makeup, so in good shape too)
open about sex, and enjoys it (comments on how good he is)
not dramatic, bitchy, whiny or too talkative (this is an important one)
intelligent and sharp, can analyze a man's musings
confident in herself and has her own interests
not needy but still appreciative of him
likes to do fun new things (well this varies but kayaking, hang gliding etc)
not a feminazi (cleans the house, makes food & has a career)
but also encourages him to help out when he can (maybe a 1:3 ratio lol)
doesn't spend all the $ and has her own job
is LOYAL to him only (no flirting with other guys)
good moral code (honest, kind, generous, loving family oriented etc)
That's what will keep a man loyal ^_^
Question #4:
Special gift ideas for the in-laws?
My mother-in-law and father-in-law have birthdays 2 days apart. They do SO much for us- we just had a baby (he is 4 months old) and they LOVE him so much (their first grandchild)- they buy everything for him, they have stayed overnight with him once a week to give us a break...so anyway I wanted to do something very special for their birthdays this year...the problem is that we don't have a ton of money, but we could spend a little bit. I have been trying to think of ideas for months and now it is just a couple days away and I've got nothing! They enjoy outdoors (camping, hiking, kayaking), but their other kids have that covered already in their gifts. I was thinking a gift card to a nice restaurant for them, but it seems impersonal maybe?
Anyone have any ideas?
Question #5:
What type of kayak is best for recreational river use?
I want to purchase a 1 person kayak for short day trips on a small river. No whitewater, no overnights, no ocean. I assume I need something shorter than 14' but longer than 6' ?Question #6:
I would like to move. What would be a good state to move to?
I have no attachments to where I am living. I don't have a family to support, and I can ask for my job to be transferred anywhere in the US. I'm bored where I live now, and would like to move and see more of the country. I know I would NOT enjoy living in a big city, so I don't think NYC or big California cities would be right for me (I wouldn't mind visiting them, I just don't want to live there.) So where do you think would be a good place to live for a couple of years? This is the type of area I'm looking for-
Reasonable temperatures year round. I like warm summers, but not so hot I can't breathe. I enjoy snow during the winter, especially during December.
I really enjoy the outdoors, so I would hope to live an an area that is good for biking, kayaking, camping, hiking.
I like to watch (and play) sports. I can join a recreational league almost anywhere, but I hope there would also be baseball and hockey team (preferably pro) in the area.
I currently live in Minnesota, and although the area is a good fit for me. I would like to move somewhere else just for a couple of years.
Any ideas?
Question #7:
I Have Aquaphobia? What should I do about my school trip?
This might sound weird to some people, and I know I get a little embarrassed that I'm scared of water, but I can't help it! Going into a lake or a swimming pool completely freaks me out and there's no reasoning with me. Unfortunately, my school has organised a school tour to an Adventure Centre...and unfortunately, they want us to go canoeing and kayaking. I seriously cried when I read that bit on their website!! There are some other things to do like rock climbing (not good for me either, I'm also scared of heights) and assault course (wouldn't be ideal, I'm clumsy and can't run for sh*t! Lol). All in all, I think it's going to be a pretty sh*tty day, I'll be worried about the water sports and I'll have no fun at all. The bad part is, my mom has to pay for me to go...I think it'd be a waste of money since I won't enjoy it...I'm pretty sure my teacher will attack me if I tell her I'm not going (she's seriously moody)...but do you think I should go anyway and try to be a good spirit? Or save myself the embarrassment?Nice comments please...?! I've probably put this in the wrong section, but what heck. Lol.
Thanks in advance! =)

Can you please translate these words into Welsh?
It's a bit of a random list. The reason I'm asking on here is because I've tried putting a few of the more specific ones into a dictionary and it couldn't come up with a translation, so I figured here was the best place to ask as humans will know if there's a word which means the same thing or not! Anyway, the words:Oxbow, glacial, fjord, lava, underground, artificial, rift, ephemeral, intermittent, meromictic
Ducks, sheep, wheat, geese, hay, barn, orchard, straw, dairy, fields
Willow, beech, oak, cherry, apple, spruce, redwood, ash, gum, fir
Barge, narrowboat, ferry, canoe, speedboat, kayak, freighter, submarine, gondola, punt
Question #12:
Native words used in modern english ¿?
such as Kayak, it is used and was used by the natives .Question #13:
What kayak (model or even type) would be best suited for a long river tour?
I want to take a long term (2 week) solo trip down the Guadalupe river. From Hunt Texas to Austin. I plan to take all gear with me and eat mostly military MREs. The river doesn't have too many rapids but it definitely has some exceptionally shallow parts and some snaking and winding turns. I've tried this trip before in a Pelican Castaway Deluxe and it worked well but didn't survive the trip. Even being careful the shallow bits ate through the hull only halfway though. Of course money is always a factor and value is important. This is not a question over SHOULD I attempt this trip again, or HOW to attempt this trip; only in what vessel this community recommends. Thank you.Question #14:
