What to wear for my work experience?
I am working at a pet hospital for my work experience and it says to wear "Flat soled enclosed footwear" and "no Clogs", What type should i wear than i was thinking something like this : Timberland or something on the lines of that. Also what clothes should i wear, like my school trousers and a top, i dont know if i will get told this nearer the time but if i dont i want to have something ready anyway.

Question #7:
what would you do with this trainer / footwear situation?
what it is, im poor and live on sick benefits , i needed new trainers and shoes , i ordered a pair on line , but on one pair i noticed that ' the finish ' isn't perfect on the trainer .meaning excess glue here or there , on one pair of the trainers , the end wasn't completely glued down tight enough, BUT its getting tiresome keep having to send them back, and getting REFUNDED because i NEED new trainers / shoes .
so i was thinking, do you think this is a good idea ? order the trainers online from the decent brand i choose , and if their not completely perfect , or slightly imperfect - ie ( the end of the trainer is not glued down tight enough ) - rather than send it back....put up with it, and if the end gets worse and starts to become UNGLUED -
take the trainer to a shoe repair shop .
i would rather do this than keep having to send them back, as i said , i need new footwear.
i have ocd too, so the slightest imperfection gets to me in a pair of shoes / trainers.
im just growing tired of having to keep sending the pair of trainers back, and just want a NEW pair of trainers i can wear NOW ! ( teeth clenched )
have you ever kept footwear thats slightly imperfect ? and thought, if something goes wrong with them i'll take them to the shoe repair shop - instead of keep sending them back for a refund ?
do you think theres anything wrong with my idea ? have you ever done it ?
Question #8:

Question #9:
A question to Males: If U hadn't been given the right to vote until 1920, late in first 1/4, 20th Century...?
*) How would you have felt...if all along you had not the rights men had had FOR centuries?*) Were not expected and not accepted in many Universities?
*) Were under WOMAN'S Rule till then?
*) Were expected to be the homemaker, child carer, all household activities were left to you?
*) Were not expected to work as equally as "Wifey?" not out of the home or in the home for the making of her own purse' money?
*)Were to be expected to obey wifey in and out of the bedroom, "No, I'd rather not!" : ( NOT EVER TO BE HEARD FROM YOUR LIPS, gentlemen...it simply does not happen!!!)
*) Were expected to bear as many children as pregnancies resulted in delivering?
*) Were encouraged to be wifey's pretty, delicate bauble, in trusses, painful footwear to make your feet smaller, therefore more delicate - while wearing fashion which made you look like an elaborately designed with icing Cake, (oooh, Yum-Yum!!!) in order to be of attraction?
*) at the height of rediculous fashion for the eye of the other gender, your last rib on each side, Gentlemen would be removed in order to show a tiny waist?
*) In some regions of the world, allowed only picture books to look at, while women could go so far as to becoming scholars in Full Right?
*) Had to go join the other kept men in a separate parlor as company for tea and crumpets, while the women sat in the dining room, smoking their big great cigars, and drinking Brandy? - (Oh, ha ha ha, Such Jolly Good!)
*) Were expected to always be, act in a demure way?
*) If you were a writer such as George Sands, had to disguise yourself as a woman to break into the field, and or be accepted, and possibly, make a name for yourself as a male writer in a woman's creative world?
I believe I can easily bring in more examples for you to ponder...but let us stop here.
Then Tell me?
How would you feel?
Would you feel sufficient fulfillment being considered a 2nd rate citizen?
Would you have wanted more?:
The right to vote or example.
The right to make a life as you'd plan it.
The right to a full education as men had had.
The right to speak up when you knew d@mned well you had a valid point to make to wifey and her woman's world.
The right to begin a movement as a protest to this detestable as well as abominable Suppression and Oppression.
And if the women's movement which seems to offend so many men still...The Feminist movement...
If you'd had the daring to attempt to break from such oppression, would you have given yourselves as a movement ; a name???
What would that be, I'd be curious to know. For much is said against "feminism", "feminists" or women, not militant, men-hating, vindictive, chip -on-the-shoulders (mal-contented) trouble mongers, but simply women who have the right I believe, to what men have, where it applies...(men-women football being out as an example)...what would represent the importance, value, fair, (as in humanistic human gain), not taking away from the other gender - WHAT NAME, then, would you give your movement against such was intolerable an Oppression which lasted centuries, and continues even now, but far more under cover, and whispered opinion?
And what, if in that movement would you call yourselves, gentlemen - in a world much mastered by WOMEN???
Women, please, you may offer your thoughts as well. Equal opportunity given to what your opinions may be
toward this "if the tables had been turned" issue, I've brought to be pondered.
People, good people who've offered your opinions, at times fiery, & yet from the heart & immediate viscera, I only posted this question to incite FIRST IMPRESSION response, & you've all done that. Don't see me as a subversive, or someone who's a spy or works for the "opposition" what ever that would be to any individual. Can we not agree to disagree without pulling any particular ONE to stand before a moral Firing Squad??? I'm thankful that 10 of U have responded to what may have sounded to some as a "rant." A rant to me, is a territory where what has been disagreed upon, is given a negative connotation. I appreciate ALL your responses. & I'll give a Thumbs up to ALL who've been SUFFICIENTLY moved to respond. I shan't Judge! This posted question of mine was meant to have you all come out - of diverse opinions - & nothing more, MY FELLOWS - we are ALL human-if agreed that is so, I welcome all responses. Therefore - offer any, all, opinions. I shall not judge! I'm grateful, & Thankful!
Grey Grey, my apologies to you. The finger upon a tiny space upon the keyboard, confused the intention I had planned to follow.
Call it; that Flawed Human Fingertip upon a trigger which would have deserved more than what may have come through as a judgment.
For as far as I am concerned your opinion IS your opinion. And I'll not judge it this way or another...I offer you as I have offered all other opinions, ALSO, a thumbs up!
Whosoever takes notice of such details, please take in part, that Grey Grey has not offended any issue...and if blame is to be placed on anyone...PLEASE, place that blame upon my trigger finger, and NOT his response!
For I am as flawed as human, as ALL we are!
Thank you Good People. I mean that sincerely. Good night!!!
No, Miss, I do not want to consider women to be pathetic victims, nor do I want to to see men in such a condition. When you say "people like me", well, as much as that would offend me, it does not, because as offenses go, I've received far worse insults for many other reasons. Which by the way, began :people like you" - "whatever followed" - I used to respond very sensitively and argue in return, even physically fight. After a while, I learned to simply shrug my shoulders & say, "okay, that's not whom I know I am, so I'll just walk away."
I knew I should've mentioned the lives of women and men which I depicted of a certain class. The aristocracy. I'm quite aware that people living in the early ghettos of New York, as 1 example, pioneers, any people who had to work together; both genders helping 1 another in order to survive were exempt from living a life of mirth, abundance, luxury, and with no care or with no awareness about the equality poverty imposed on both men and women .
Doodle b, It's obvious I've NOT gotten away with anything. In some cases I've received quite a severe verbal hazing, not just a reprimand-& yes, as I read these last night, I did say to myself, "Oh, that hurts! OUCH!!!" But as almost all hurts, time passes & the pain relieves itself. & for that I'm thankful.
I posted the question, as would've been a surprise quiz, as the ones we'd be imposed upon in high school. So that I'd be able to fathom from FIRST IMPRESSION reaction, opinions from the forum.
I could've been extremely angry by some of the assumptions which have been made of me, my intention, & even lack of fuller knowledge, & yes, in some cases, resentful bias through what I can only deem is a result of hurt, & lack of understanding between the sexes for 1 another. But I didn't. I know how much HURT pains 1, & confuses issues, as I know how lack of a better understanding ALWAYS causes an ubiquitous
sense of "what to do?" between the genders.
I hope this "Quiz" provoked thought!
And PLEASE people, as to where I've FAILED to present a question, with nothing but absolute, complete, & thoroughly correct information - And where I've failed to be MORE than human, in posting this question; perhaps making assumptions, presumptions which you may have reacted against, and wherever I've failed to post a "turning of the tables" in this continuous battle of the sexes, WHERE I AM NO LESS CONFUSED than anyone else - both Males and Females - if any thought was, is, may be provoked from you from a sense of empathy of gender to gender, please, excuse my errors, & be much better than I've been in such a process. Allow your thoughts as to this issue to arise from a more common place between us. A place of far more objectivity, than that place which is hurt & confused & feels helpless to arrive at much better resolve, to the differences of our genders. We are after ALL, the only 2 choices available to ourselves. Let us work to make progress, not dissension instead.
I THANK YOU!
