Gybes - Windsurfing Questions

Question: What would I wear for a beginners windsurfing lesson?

( Back )

Answer #1:

Make sure you have less than 4 inch heels.

Bare feet.

Answer #2:

I did some windsurfing last summer and I wore pumps mainly because the loch had a stony bottom which is uncomfortable to walk on in the shallow areas. Bare feet may be slippery or uncomfortable so you could try beach shoes which you can buy most places that sell wetsuits.

Answer #3:

When i first went windsurfing i wore a surfing wetsuit and reef shoes (shoes that you can wear in water) it was really good.

Have fun

Answer #4:

depending on where you are windsurfing. a wet suit will be good and an windproof over jacket.as neoprene is not wind proof and wind on water is always cold. ( wet your hand and blow on in it will feel cold) and so will your body when you fall in. neoprene boot are the best to wear if you can get some or old pumps or trainers. if it really warm then a halter neck wet suit and bare feet will impress the the crowd
