Gybes - Windsurfing Questions

Question: Windsurfing : Should I trade my 160lt board for a board of145 lt?

( Back )

Answer #1:

Probably not worth it, a 145 can't do anything than a 160 can't do and your 160 should support bigger sails. If you aren't even using the harness or straps there's really no reason, especially given the conditions

Answer #2:

My advice: Keep the big board for days when the wind is down. Buy a short board for days the wind is up or at your limits. You can also use different size sails to match your skills with the wind speeds. Talk with other sailors. Observe other sailors and their gear. Ask questions.
