Probably not worth it, a 145 can't do anything than a 160 can't do and your 160 should support bigger sails. If you aren't even using the harness or straps there's really no reason, especially given the conditionsAnswer #2:
My advice: Keep the big board for days when the wind is down. Buy a short board for days the wind is up or at your limits.
